The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Fedorov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lahm is nestled in close to Fedorov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Lahm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fedorov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lahm lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lahm grinds an elbow into Fedorov's temple.
Lahm lands a nice forearm strike.

Fedorov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Lahm stands up and beckons Fedorov to his feet.

Fedorov throws a head kick that misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fedorov is defended easily by Lahm.
Fedorov is breathing heavily.
Lahm throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fedorov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lahm to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lahm really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Julian Lahm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lahm slips a nice elbow through Fedorov's hands, connecting with Fedorov's forehead.
Lahm looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fedorov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lahm closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fedorov quickly recovers to half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lahm connects with a nice short shot to Fedorov's temple.
Lahm is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Fedorov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Lahm fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Fedorov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Lahm! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian Lahm!
Julian Lahm decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
