PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Deb The Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uriah Primetime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Primetime connects with a single shot there.
The Machine fails to land the takedown.
Primetime throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck The Machine on the side of the head.
The Machine shoots in looking for a takedown. Primetime tries to sprawl out of it but The Machine keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Primetime manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The Machine tries to clinch up.
The Machine just misses with a punch to the body.

The Machine moves into the clinch successfully.
The Machine goes for a takedown attempt but Primetime pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The Machine dives in and grabs Primetime's left leg, looking for a takedown. Primetime pushes down on The Machine's head and hops out.
The Machine throws a hook to the side of Primetime's head but Primetime sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Primetime stuffs the takedown attempt from The Machine. The Machine gets slowly back to his feet.

The Machine doesn't manage to clinch there - Primetime circles away.

The Machine gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The Machine shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Primetime defends it nicely.

The Machine has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Primetime off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Primetime has closed the distance and engaged The Machine in a clinch.

Primetime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Uriah Primetime is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The Machine shoots in for a takedown but Primetime shows good takedown defense.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Uriah Primetime dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Primetime tests The Machine's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The Machine throws a body punch but Primetime moves out of range.
The Machine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Primetime but Primetime pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Primetime decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Machine's guard.

Primetime got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Machine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Primetime has managed to get both his arms back between The Machine's legs - danger averted.
Primetime wants to stand but The Machine has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Primetime clinches up with The Machine and pushes him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Primetime really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Machine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Uriah Primetime showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Primetime breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Primetime ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The Machine shoots in and drives through. Primetime sprawls well.

and Primetime counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for The Machine. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The Machine takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The Machine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Primetime avoids it really well and circles away.

Primetime sends The Machine crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Primetime is motioning to the referee to let The Machine up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Deb The Machine has been cut.

Primetime fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Machine, pushing him back against the cage.
The Machine wants to break the clinch but can't.

Primetime manages to break the clinch.

Primetime gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Primetime's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Primetime swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Primetime pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Primetime connects with a leg kick. The Machine looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The fight stays on the outside here - The Machine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The Machine walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Primetime's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A slapping leg kick lands for Primetime.
The Machine takes a kick to the side of the head.
Oh The Machine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Primetime swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The Machine seems to have got his legs back now.

Primetime darts in and clinches The Machine up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The Machine fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Primetime is out of range.
The Machine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Primetime sprawls well. Primetime wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Machine gets slowly back to his feet.
The Machine misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The Machine wants to clinch.
Primetime throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Uriah Primetime comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Primetime has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
