PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Alva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alva has chosen Viking Death march-billy talent as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenny Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demian Alva!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanchez is in Alva's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Alva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sanchez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alva on the ground.
Alva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sanchez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Alva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Alva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Alva seems to have locked his on tight now - Sanchez screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Alva, as he picks up the win!
