PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris has chosen Brotha Lynch Hung - That's What I Said as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Atom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominic Harris!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atom drives through with a takedown into guard.
Atom throws and elbow that misses. Harris uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Atom's guard. Nice move by Harris!
Atom trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Atom looking for a sweep. Not yet Atom, not yet.
Atom bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harris's guard.
Harris has Atom pulled in close to control his posture.
Harris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Atom is controlling him.
Atom works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Atom not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Atom is nestled in close to Harris, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Atom is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harris is just riding it out for now. Atom eventually gives up the hold.

Harris wants to get back to his feet.
Harris is holding on to half guard well.
Atom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Atom is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Harris doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Atom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Atom connects with a nice short shot to Harris's temple.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Atom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Atom thows a huge punch but Harris dodges it nicely.

Atom is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Harris is doing well to control the position and prevent Atom from advancing to side control.
Harris keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Atom working Harris over with strikes.
Atom frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Atom thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Harris holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Atom tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Atom throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Atom goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Harris is on top in guard.
Atom is breathing heavily.

Atom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Harris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Atom is proving hard to escape from.
Harris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Atom wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Atom dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Harris keeps the fight on the outside.
Harris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Atom. That did some damage!
Atom misses with a takedown attempt - Harris sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Harris connects with a good right hand that stumbles Atom. Atom circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Harris keeps the fight on the outside.
Adam Atom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Atom thows a left - swing and a miss!

Atom shoots in but no luck this time.
Atom misses with a looping left.
Harris stuns Atom with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Atom checks a leg kick.
Harris scores with a hook to the body. Atom takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris cracks Atom with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Atom looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Harris finish him?

Atom is rocked!

It looks like Adam Atom has been cut.
Atom leaves his chin hanging out and Harris seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Atom crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dominic Harris!
