Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Hathaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick McLoughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLoughlin has chosen Fields Of Athenry as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patrick McLoughlin!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hathaway crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McLoughlin - the referee stops the clock and Hathaway gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McLoughlin. Hathaway manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hathaway throws a series of punches but McLoughlin avoids them all with ease.
McLoughlin misses with a takedown attempt - Hathaway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A jab lands there for Hathaway.
Hathaway showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McLoughlin.
McLoughlin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hathaway misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hathaway misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hathaway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McLoughlin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McLoughlin shoots in looking for a takedown but Hathaway manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McLoughlin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Daniel Hathaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick McLoughlin.
McLoughlin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hathaway as he jumps to the side.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McLoughlin lands a head kick. Hathaway smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

McLoughlin tries to clinch but Hathaway is having none of it.
Hathaway throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McLoughlin throws a jab when Hathaway was well out of range.
Hathaway lands a nice leg kick that just misses McLoughlin's sensitive parts.
McLoughlin throws the kick towards the body but Hathaway avoids it.
Hathaway misses with a double jab.
McLoughlin avoids the head kick by Hathaway.
McLoughlin walks into a straight right hand from Hathaway.
McLoughlin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hathaway cracks McLoughlin with an open hand slap.
Hathaway smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McLoughlin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hathaway moves away.

Hathaway moves out of range as McLoughlin strikes.
Hathaway scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

McLoughlin is rocked!
Hathaway lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McLoughlin circles away quickly and effectively.
McLoughlin is still on wobbly legs! Can Hathaway finish him?
A combination from Hathaway does no damage.
Hathaway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McLoughlin.
Hathaway throws a right and a left that McLoughlin avoids nicely.
Hathaway is breathing heavily.

and McLoughlin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A jab from Hathaway finds it's way through McLoughlin's defenses.
McLoughlin shoots in but Hathaway avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hathaway pounces like a tiger and cracks McLoughlin with a vicious hook! McLoughlin is down but not out! Hathaway follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
