And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratliff's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Whittaker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ratliff scrambles back to his feet.
Ratliff misses with the body kick
and Ratliff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Whittaker cracks Ratliff with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ratliff moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Whittaker checks a leg kick.

Ratliff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whittaker swivels and escapes.
Nice sprawl there from Whittaker as Ratliff shoots in.
Ratliff misses with a double jab
and Whittaker counters with a stiff right hand.
Whittaker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ratliff tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Whittaker scores with a punch to the head.
Whittaker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ratliff's sensitive parts.
Whittaker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Ratliff is rocked!

Whittaker tests Ratliff's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ratliff is still on wobbly legs! Can Whittaker finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ratliff glances at the clock... BAM! Whittaker nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ratliff crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ratliff is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
