The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roper avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dostan tries to bum rush Roper with a series of wild strikes but Roper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Roper misses with a takedown attempt
and Dostan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Roper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dostan throws a right hand that Roper ducks under and follows up with a left that Roper also avoids with ease.
Dostan misses with a wild combination.
Dostan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Roper eats them both and turns towards Dostan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Roper doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dostan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Artair Dostan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Roper.
Dostan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dostan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Dostan counters with a left and a right that stings Roper.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scott Roper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
