Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claus Lundekvam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lundekvam has chosen Metallica - Battery as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Timmy Crain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Claus Lundekvam!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crain does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lundekvam.
Crain throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lundekvam.

and Crain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lundekvam looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crain is fending him off so far but Lundekvam persists. Nope, Crain circles away and we're back to standing.
Timmy Crain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Claus Lundekvam.
Lundekvam shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crain sprawls well. Crain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lundekvam gets slowly back to his feet.
Crain attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Lundekvam throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crain's waist but Crain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lundekvam off to one side.
Lundekvam throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice shot lands for Crain.
Lundekvam moves out of range of the leg kick from Crain.
Crain feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lundekvam's calf.
Lundekvam shoots in looking for a takedown. Crain tries to sprawl out of it but Lundekvam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lundekvam looks winded!
Crain fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lundekvam checks it well.

Crain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Timmy Crain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lundekvam fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lundekvam shoots in but no luck this time.
Crain lands a nice hook to Lundekvam's body. Lundekvam takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lundekvam has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Crain.
Crain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A lazy left from Crain finds it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lundekvam tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Crain scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Crain fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lundekvam looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A slapping leg kick lands for Crain.
A nice inside leg kick there by Crain. That's going to slow Lundekvam down.
Lundekvam's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Crain lands a jab-cross combination.
Lundekvam takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lundekvam takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lundekvam chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crain can pounce on him.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Crain, right into the meat.
Crain lands with a thumping leg kick.
Crain dips to his left and cracks Lundekvam with an uppercut!

and Crain makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Crain lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Crain.

Lundekvam tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Crain connects with a leg kick. Lundekvam looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Crain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A clash of legs there as Lundekvam blocks the low kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lundekvam shoots in and bounces Crain off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lundekvam has gone for a leg lock! Crain slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lundekvam's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmy Crain dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Crain feints and then cracks Lundekvam's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lundekvam down.

Crain throws out a leg kick but Lundekvam moves out of range and Crain only half commits.

Lundekvam gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Crain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lundekvam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Lundekvam or perhaps it was just good defense by Crain which made him look bad.
