Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Errol Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiny Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Field comes to the ring accompanied by Best of Sakuraba. Tiny Dong will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Errol Field!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tiny Dong!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Field. No joy for Dong on that attempt.

Dong looking to score a takedown here. Field is defending well but Dong drives through and ends up in Field's guard.

Field looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dong passes into side control.

Dong goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Field rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dong's guard! Nice work there by Field!
Field might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Field content to stall in guard here.
Field trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Field not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dong keeping moving, preventing Field from controlling successfully.
Dong seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Field swats away the attempt to clinch by Dong.
No luck for Field with that takedown attempt.
Dong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dong shoots for a double leg takedown but Field sprawls well. He's pushed Dong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dong dives in and grabs Field's left leg, looking for a takedown. Field pushes down on Dong's head and hops out.
Errol Field has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiny Dong.

Dong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Field to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Dong wants to sweep but no luck.

Field drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dong!
Field misses with an elbow from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Field's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Field looking for a sweep but Dong has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BOOM! Dong connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Field wants to control but Dong is having none of it.
Dong landing strikes, looking to finish!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dong wants to control the pace but Field is squirming around nicely.
Dong avoids the attempt from Field to control.
Dong pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Dong moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Field has worked his arm free - good work by Field!

Field is looking to reverse the position.
Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Field keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Field's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Field is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dong trying to control the position but Field is working away.

Field is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dong is looking to take a break and control but Field is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Field knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Field struggling a bit here.

Field regains half guard, as Dong was trying to land strikes.
Dong blocks the strikes from Field.
Dong is thwarting Field's attempts to control the position.
Field punching from the bottom.

Field is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dong pulls his head out easily.
Dong wants to control but Field is keeping him busy.
Dong is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Dong might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Field haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dong is working for a submission of some sort.
Field wants to control but Dong is keeping busy.
Dong performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Dong seems to be looking for submissions.
Dong stalling away here and it's allowed Field to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Dong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Field has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dong has managed to get both his arms back between Field's legs - danger averted.
Field is looking to sweep but instead, Dong has passed into half guard.
Dong prevents Field from improving his position.
Dong wants to control but Field is keeping him busy.
Field is looking to control Dong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Field avoid being mounted?

Dong is looking for a kimura but Field is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dong to get the leverage.
Dong is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Field trying to control but Dong postures up.
Field flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Dong sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Field defending well though.
Dong is keen to just control but Field is a slippery customer.
Dong is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Field keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Field wants to control but Dong is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiny Dong dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dong tries to clinch there but Field circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Dong. No joy for Field on that attempt.
Field misses with a takedown attempt - Dong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Field's waist but Field gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dong off to one side.

and Field counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dong.

Field sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Dong is trying to control the position but Field postures up.
Field looking to sit in guard and control but Dong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dong wants to stand but Field has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dong wants to control for a moment but Field uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Field looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dong tries to stand and escape but Field is controlling the position.
Field wants to control but Dong passes into side.
Field wants to control but Dong postures up.
Field tries to bench press Dong off him but Dong keeps the position.

Dong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Field has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dong gets to mount! Field was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Dong trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Field tries to lock up and control but Dong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Field is squirming around, avoiding Dong's attempts to control the action.
Field wants to hold on but Dong pushes him away.

Dong tries to control but Field wriggling away.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dong prevents Field from getting the reversal.

Dong is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Field throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dong's waist but Dong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Field off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Errol Field. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Dong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Field thinking.
Field takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Dong counters with an outside leg kick.

Dong drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dong is looking to take a break and control but Field is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dong unloads with some shots from mount but Field bucks and avoids them well.

Dong lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Dong gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Field looks for a takedown but Dong sprawls well.
Dong shoots in but no luck this time.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Field looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Field is trying to control Dong's posture but Dong avoids it.

Dong stands up.
Dong misses with a jab, cross combination.

Dong darts in and clinches Field up against the ropes.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Field is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Dong gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Field has Dong pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Dong manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Field goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dong prevents it.

Dong manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Field has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Field postures up in Dong's guard and throws a big left but Dong blocks it.
Field won't allow Dong to sweep him here.
Field is looking to pass into half guard but Dong pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dong is in guard.

Dong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Field's head.
Tiny Dong has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Field, up you get!

Dong darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Dong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Field is just riding it out for now. Dong eventually gives up the hold.
Errol Field has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dong is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Field has managed to free his arm - good work.

Tiny Dong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
