The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruder misses with a hook.

Burns is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bruder pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Burns is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bruder to keep the fight standing.

Burns goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bruder prevents it.
Burns is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bruder is defending well.
Burns tries to pull guard but Bruder forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bruder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bruder lands a left and a right that send Burns crashing to the mat, dazed. Bruder thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bruder takes a swing at Burns's ribcage but misses.
Bruder goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Bruder throws a hook to the side of Burns's head but Burns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bruder clobbers Burns with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Bruder moves in looking to clinch but Burns pushes him off.
