Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuya Nakashiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ran Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakashiba's entrance music is Moonlight Densetsu!. A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tetsuya Nakashiba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ran Sakamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakashiba tries a head kick but it misses.

Nakashiba throws a sloppy head kick and Sakamoto moves out of range easily.

Nakashiba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nakashiba closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakashiba is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sakamoto throws his legs up looking for a submission but Nakashiba uses it to pass to side control.

Sakamoto is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Nakashiba is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Sakamoto turns into Nakashiba and is now in his guard.

Sakamoto drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nakashiba manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sakamoto has Nakashiba in his guard.

Sakamoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nakashiba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nakashiba wants to free his trapped foot but Sakamoto is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
