The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bartholomay closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bartholomay lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bartholomay trying to control the position from guard on top but Kekkonen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bartholomay throws an elbow that misses. Kekkonen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bartholomay's guard. Nice move by Kekkonen!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kekkonen wants to control from the top but Bartholomay keeps moving.
Bartholomay throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Kekkonen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bartholomay wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kekkonen is now in half guard.

Kekkonen wants to free his trapped foot but Bartholomay is holding on for dear life with his legs.
