The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop takes a swing at Sanders's ribcage but misses.
Bishop tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bishop cracks Sanders with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Sanders fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bishop sprawls well initially but Sanders persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sanders wants to advance to full mount but Bishop doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Sanders is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bishop shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sanders eats them both and turns towards Bishop to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bishop connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sanders crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bishop - the referee stops the clock and Sanders gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bishop. Sanders manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
