The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos dips to his left and cracks Weidman with an uppercut!

Dos Santos shoots in and gets a takedown into Weidman's guard.
Dos Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Weidman is retaining full guard.

Dos Santos drops back looking for a leg! Weidman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Weidman manages to kick Dos Santos off! Dos Santos jumps back into Weidman's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dos Santos throws a lazy right hand but Weidman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dos Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Rafael Dos Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Weidman tries to lock up and control but Dos Santos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Weidman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dos Santos is pushing down on Weidman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Weidman is fighting to maintain full guard but Dos Santos has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dos Santos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Weidman is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
