Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Go Hasegawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Submission King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Submission King acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Go Hasegawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Submission King!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hasegawa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
King controlling from the top position.
King slips nicely into half guard.
King missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Hasegawa looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

King is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hasegawa sees it coming and defends easily.

Hasegawa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but King pulls his head out easily.
Hasegawa is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute King jumps into side control!
Hasegawa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but King wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
King taking a breather here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hasegawa tries to improve position but can't.

King staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hasegawa is trying to improve his position.
Hasegawa is working hard here to advance position.

Sloppy strikes there by King.
King passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hasegawa!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
King thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

King breaks from Hasegawa's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Hasegawa sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Hasegawa is staying active underneath King, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Hasegawa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but King pulls his head out easily.
Hasegawa is breathing heavily.
King perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
King passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hasegawa!
King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King throwing strikes here but Hasegawa is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
King unloads with some shots from mount but Hasegawa bucks and avoids them well.
Hasegawa blocking the ground and pound.
Hasegawa wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by King.
King tries to control but Hasegawa wriggling away.
King raining down shots from the mount!
King content just to control the position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hasegawa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Hasegawa is rocked!

King working for a submission but Hasegawa is keeping him at bay.
Hasegawa has given up his back here. Will King look for the submission or keep pounding away?
King landing with strikes.

King looking to break Hasegawa's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hasegawa remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise King will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

King tightening his grip on Hasegawa, looking for the choke.
What can Hasegawa do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Submission King dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



King clinches up with Hasegawa and pushes him back against the cage.

Hasegawa drags the fight down to the ground.

Hasegawa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
King trying to control but Hasegawa is working from the bottom.
Hasegawa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
King slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Hasegawa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily.
King is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
King is pushing down on Hasegawa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hasegawa is fighting to maintain full guard but King has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hasegawa is in trouble now - King has advanced to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hasegawa tries to reverse the position but King maintains control.
King looking to control but Hasegawa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
King looking to finish with strikes here!
King is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hasegawa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
King lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hasegawa looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

King is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hasegawa has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but King has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hasegawa taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. King doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Submission King!
Submission King seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
