The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sons accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sons winds up and cracks Alves with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sons seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Sons uses his free foot to push down on Alves's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alves.
Sons cracks Alves with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
