The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean catches Risley with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bean shoots in but no luck this time.

Bean shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bean showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Risley looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Bean decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Risley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bean sprawls well. Bean wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Risley gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bean escapes and gets back to his feet.
Bean lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Risley at a distance.
Bean ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Risley tries to clinch up but Bean circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bean throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Risley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Risley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bean paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Butter Bean dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bean scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Risley doesn't seem bothered though.
Bean connects with a good right hand that stumbles Risley. Risley circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Butter Bean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bean bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Butter Bean seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Bean shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Risley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Risley tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bean decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Risley, up you get!
Bean works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Risley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Bean scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bean goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Risley slaps away a takedown attempt from Bean, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Risley tries to clinch but Bean moves out of range.
Bean fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Risley doesn't manage to clinch there - Bean circles away.
Risley shoots for a double leg takedown but Bean sprawls well. He's pushed Risley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bean shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Risley's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bean changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Risley tries to avoid it but Bean manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Risley to the ground. Risley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bean throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Risley on the side of the head.

Well Bean has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
