PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Craig Rave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uncle Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Craig Rave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uncle Rico!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rico tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rave was well out of range. Poor timing from Rico.
Rico takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Rave closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rave lands in his opponent's guard.

Rico feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
