Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sun Whan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Payne struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Lee catches Payne right on the button with a cross.
Payne ducks under a wild hook from Lee.
A left lands for Lee.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.

Payne shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Payne showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Payne wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
Payne is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Payne stalling away here and it's allowed Lee to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Lee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Payne's guard.
Lee wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Payne can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Payne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee grinds an elbow into Payne's temple.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Payne is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lee connects with a decent elbow.

Lee lands a strong strike to the head of Payne. That's dazed him! Lee looking to finish here. Payne is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Lee lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
