Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edinaldo Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Vanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanko has chosen Oh No by Gogol Bordello as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Oliveira.
Oliveira punishes Vanko's body with a nice straight punch.
Oliveira cracks Vanko with a good jab.

It looks like Ivan Vanko has been cut.

Vanko closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oliveira tightens his grip and picks Vanko up, before dumping him to the ground. Vanko manages to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oliveira is working Vanko over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Oliveira throws a strike but Vanko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Oliveira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Oliveira has one foot on Vanko's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Vanko closes the distance but Oliveira moves to the side
and Oliveira counters with a right hand to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Oliveira lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vanko doesn't seem phased though.

Oliveira swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Vanko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Oliveira closes the distance and lands a one-two.

That has opened up Ivan Vanko's cut even more.

Oliveira cracks Vanko with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Vanko looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Oliveira finish him?

The cut above Ivan Vanko's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Vanko walks into a jab.

Ivan Vanko's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Vanko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
No joy there for Oliveira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vanko shoots in looking for a takedown. Oliveira tries to sprawl out of it but Vanko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oliveira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
