Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Lindland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Velttonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lindland comes into the arena with Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Velttonen has chosen Ultra Bra - Hauki as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Luiz Lindland has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Luiz Lindland seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velttonen throws a shot from downtown. Lindland moves away and avoids it.
Velttonen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lindland back to the cage. Velttonen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Velttonen thows a body shot but no joy.
Velttonen misses with a takedown attempt - Lindland sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Velttonen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fighters circle momentarily. Velttonen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Velttonen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lindland with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Velttonen looks to land a strike but Lindland avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Lindland is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

No joy there for Velttonen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lindland takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Velttonen catches Lindland with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Lindland cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
