Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields moves out of range of the body kick.
Perry fails in his attempt to clinch.
Perry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shields takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Shields tries to clinch but Perry is having none of it.
Perry throws a head kick that misses.

Shields rushes Perry and presses him up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Shields keeps control of Perry as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Shields's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shields keeps the fight on the outside.
Shields will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A nice combination there by Shields.
A combination from Shields does no damage.
Perry tries to clinch but Shields is having none of it.

Perry takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Perry misses with a head kick.
Shields lands with a thumping leg kick.
Shields lands with a nice combination. Perry backs away looking to recover.
Shields throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Perry tries to close the distance and clinch but Shields swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shields pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Perry tries to clinch up but Shields circles away and keeps his distance.

Shields closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Perry throws a knee to the head but misses.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Shields.

Shields's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perry closes the distance but Shields moves to the side
and Shields counters with a series of strikes. Perry will be more careful next time no doubt.

Perry is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Shields connects with a nasty looking knee right to Perry's face.
Shields lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Shields's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shields looks to land a combination. Perry sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A clash of legs there as Shields blocks the low kick.
Shields scoring well with a low kick there.
Perry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Shields manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shields lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Shields throws out a head kick that Perry doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Perry crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Perry's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Perry is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - Perry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shields avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Perry looks to land a left hand but Shields moved out of range nicely.

and Shields counters with a head kick. That will keep Perry thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Perry is still on wobbly legs! Can Shields finish him?

Shields clinches with his opponent.
Shields comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Shields creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Perry crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Perry face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Shields takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
