Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Leonardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Hines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hines swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Leonardo doesn't manage to clinch there - Hines circles away.
Leonardo dives in and grabs Hines's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hines pushes down on Leonardo's head and hops out.
Hines keeps the fight on the outside.
Hines throws out a leg kick but Leonardo moves out of range and Hines only half commits.

Hines closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hines lands in his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hines accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hines throws a strike aimed at the side of Leonardo's head but Leonardo avoids it well.

Leonardo tries to improve position but can't.
Hines wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leonardo keeps working.
Leonardo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hines on the ground.

Leonardo wants to control but Hines postures up.
Leonardo could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hines working the ground and pound but Leonardo is defending the strikes.
Hines takes a little break here. Leonardo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Hines creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The strikes coming from Hines are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

You can see the frustration on Leonardo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Leonardo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Hines seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Leonardo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Leonardo tries to roll over but Hines keeps him under control.

Leonardo tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hines has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Leonardo can't escape the position.

Hines can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leonardo is looking to escape.
Hines connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hines with shots to the head and body - Leonardo looks very uncomfortable down there.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Leonardo doesn't manage to clinch there - Hines circles away.
Hines lands a head kick. Leonardo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Leonardo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hines avoids it really well and circles away.
Leonardo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hines is looking to slow Leonardo down with leg kicks.
Leonardo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leonardo wants it to stay on the feet.
Hines tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Hines lands a head kick that stumbles Leonardo and the fighters go to the mat.

Leonardo is rocked!
Hines postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Leonardo covers up, he's hurt! Hines keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Hines and the ref steps in to end the fight! Hines can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
