Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacob O Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Reilly fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Connor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
O Reilly fails with a takedown attempt.

Oooooh!!! Connor has knocked O Reilly down with a huge combo! Connor steps away and waves a wobbly O Reilly back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

O Reilly is rocked!

It looks like Jacob O Reilly has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
O Reilly blocks the body kick.
Connor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
O Reilly misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Connor.

Jacob O Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connor throws a nice inside leg kick.

and Connor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
O Reilly walks into a straight right hand from Connor.
O Reilly tries for a takedown but Connor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Connor thuds his right hand into O Reilly's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
O Reilly is still on wobbly legs! Can Connor finish him?

O Reilly shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. O Reilly showed some decent athleticism there.
O Reilly seems to have recovered his senses.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Connor is trying to get back to full guard.
O Reilly is controlling the pace.
Connor wants to improve his position but O Reilly is controlling well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Connor is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

O Reilly takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Connor tries to roll over but O Reilly keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Connor lands a body shot.
O Reilly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Matthew Connor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob O Reilly.

Connor catches O Reilly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Connor stuns O Reilly with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Connor.
O Reilly looks winded!
O Reilly walks forward, straight into a front kick from Connor.
O Reilly takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Connor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
O Reilly moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Connor lands with a right hand.

Connor cracks O Reilly with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Connor has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning O Reilly to stand back up!
Connor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Connor fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Matthew Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice body punch from Connor.
O Reilly steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Connor. That one must have hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor lands a jab to O Reilly's midsection.

Connor sends O Reilly crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Connor is motioning to the referee to let O Reilly up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Connor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
O Reilly misses with a shot to the body
and Connor counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
