Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Dye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Williams!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dye shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dye gets slowly back to his feet.
Dye shoots in but no luck this time.

Dye forces Williams back against the cage and clinches.
Williams prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Dye. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dye has had enough of the clinch but Williams keeps him there for the moment.
Dye has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Williams after a bit of a struggle.

Williams drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dye manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Williams has Dye in his guard.

Dye will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Dye has managed to clinch.
Dye has Williams pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Williams manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dye shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Dye keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams is working for takedown but Dye is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dye tries to land a knee to the head but Williams blocks with his arms.
Dye is pressed up against the cage. Williams has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dye down to the mat. Dye avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Scott Dye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Greg Williams has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Williams is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dye will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Greg Williams has got the better of the ground game so far.
You can see the frustration on Dye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williams has picked Dye up - he's going for a ride! Williams dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Williams in particular looking to stall.
Dye is in trouble now - Williams has advanced to mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
