Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Friedrich Nietzsche!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beast Of The East!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The East looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Nietzsche tries to sprawl but The East drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The East is trying to control the action in half guard but Nietzsche is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The East throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Nietzsche to regain full guard.
The East with a flurry of punches that miss.
Nietzsche tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nietzsche holds on and takes a little breather.
The East has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nietzsche keeping moving, preventing The East from controlling successfully.

Nietzsche utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The East rushes Nietzsche and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nietzsche lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of The East backwards.

The East works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The East with a flurry of punches that miss.
The East wants to control from the top but Nietzsche keeps moving.

Nietzsche looking for a sweep. Not yet Nietzsche, not yet.

The East postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nietzsche is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The East, into his guard.
Nietzsche is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The East working a defensive guard but Nietzsche manages to pass into side control anyway.
Nietzsche lands a decent elbow from side control.

Nietzsche connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused The East some visible discomfort.
The East can't do much from the bottom here.
The East stops Nietzsche from passing to mount.

The East is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The East regains half guard.
Nietzsche works his foot free and advances to mount.

A big strike lands for Nietzsche! That's really hurt The East and he's turned his back - Nietzsche keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Nietzsche jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
