PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tota Lidel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonnie Fierro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lidel comes to the cage accompanied by Dry Kill Logic - Lost. Fierro has chosen Punkrocker as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lidel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Lidel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fierro's waist but Fierro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lidel off to one side.

Fierro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fierro leaves Lidel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lidel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fierro avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tota Lidel will probably get the nod.

That's time! Lidel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lidel drives through and clinches with Fierro against the cage.

Lidel glances at the clock... BAM! Fierro nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Lidel crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Lidel is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

A relieved looking Jonnie Fierro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
