Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Koon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flo Simba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koon comes to the cage accompanied by Zion - Fluke. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Flo Simba was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flo Simba!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koon clinches up against the cage.

Simba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Simba slaps away a takedown attempt from Koon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Koon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Koon looks for a takedown but Simba sprawls well.
Koon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Simba pinned against the cage. Simba gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Koon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Good standup being displayed there by Simba as he connects with a hook.
Flo Simba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koon tries for a takedown but Simba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Simba jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Simba fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Koon on the side of the head.
Simba wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Koon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Simba.
Simba ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Simba stuffs the takedown.
Simba throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Koon on the side of the head.

Koon throws a hook but Simba blocks it.
Koon moves in looking to clinch but Simba pushes him off.
Koon slips a jab and a cross from Simba.
Koon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Simba scores with a nice head shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Koon looks for the body kick but Simba saw that one coming.
Flo Simba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Simba scores with a jab. Koon acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Simba stuffs the takedown.
Simba lands a really nice looking cross but Koon seems unphased.

The fight stays on the outside here - Koon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Simba bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Koon's head backwards.

Koon drives through and clinches with Simba against the cage.
Simba can't break the clinch.
Koon keeps control of Simba as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Simba breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Koon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Simba lands with a nice body punch.

Simba connects with a single shot there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Koon. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Koon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Simba.
Simba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Koon.

Koon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Simba dives on top into guard.

Simba is looking to stand up but Koon won't let him.

Koon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Simba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koon tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Simba wants to control from the top but Koon keeps moving.
Simba would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Koon controls Simba momentarily but Simba frees himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Simba wants to stand but Koon is controlling his posture from full guard.

Koon is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Simba rolls with it to try and escape but Koon cranks on the arm and Simba is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
