Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edward Newgate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Langley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Langley.
Nice defenses there by Newgate.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newgate.

Langley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Newgate.

Newgate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Langley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Langley wants to pass the guard but Newgate is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Langley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Newgate swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Newgate is rocked!
Langley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Langley distracts Newgate with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Langley is in close to Newgate's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Langley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Langley scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Newgate is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Langley can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
