The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Suggs - just one landing.
Bova keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Suggs moves into range and connects with a jab.
Suggs throws a nice inside leg kick.
Suggs fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bova is out of range.
Bova really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Bova counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bova.

Bova postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Suggs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bova, into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bova throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Suggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Bova is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bova striking off his back but it's not causing Suggs any problems.
Suggs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Suggs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Terrell Suggs.
Suggs lands a leg kick that knocks Bova off balance momentarily.
Suggs throws a monster overhand right that drops Bova! Suggs follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
