Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RZ Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, David Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, RZ Silva!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson defending well as Silva loads up on a big left hand.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
David Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson misses with a lunging right hand
and Silva counters with a left to the body.
Silva misses the jab.
Jackson feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jackson misses with a left hand
and Silva counters with a left to the body.
Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jackson.
Nice defenses there by Jackson.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Silva misses with a looping right.

Silva catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jackson rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson connects with the punch.
Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Silva throws out a powerful jab.
Jackson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jackson has time to react.

Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Sloppy strikes from Jackson. Those never looked like landing.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jackson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Silva.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.
Silva throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Silva.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Jackson misses with a double jab.
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva scores with a punch to the head.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range.
Jackson misses with the combination.
Silva misses with a looping left.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Silva throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jackson misses with a combination
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jackson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.

enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.

and Silva counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Silva lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

RZ Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Silva swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.
Jackson takes one to the chin there.
David Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva scores with a sloppy right hand. Jackson should have avoided that one.
Silva misses with a double jab.
Jackson misses with a double jab
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jackson's head backwards.
Silva lands a jab to the nose.
Jackson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Jackson is rocked!
Jackson misses the jab.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson throws a body punch but Silva moves out of range.
Jackson seems to have got his legs back now.

Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
RZ Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Silva connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands.
Silva scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

An out of breath RZ Silva thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
