Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jai Brick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Doe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing. John Doe has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brick shoots in for a takedown but Doe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Doe walks into a left hand.
It looks like John Doe has been cut.
Nice body punch from Doe.
Brick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Doe lands a left and a right that send Brick crashing to the mat, dazed. Doe thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Doe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Doe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Brick's hands.

Brick lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doe circles away quickly and effectively.

Brick needs to keep his hands up - Doe had a free shot at his head there.

Doe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brick not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Brick is trying to control the action in half guard but Doe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Brick throwing shots but Doe is blocking nicely.
Brick throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Brick works his way into side control.
Brick is putting a hurting on Doe here, landing some big shots from side control.
Brick lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Doe down.
Brick works to advance to full mount. Doe defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brick pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Doe is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Brick! Doe is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
