Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heikki Jaaskelainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matti Nieminen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matti Nieminen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieminen slips a jab and a cross from Jaaskelainen.
Jaaskelainen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nieminen as he avoids it easily.
Jaaskelainen has a takedown stuffed.
Jaaskelainen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nieminen tries to avoid it but Jaaskelainen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nieminen to the ground. Nieminen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heikki Jaaskelainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Jaaskelainen with that takedown attempt.
Nieminen on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Nieminen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jaaskelainen is trying to control the position but Nieminen postures up.
Nieminen lands a couple of digs.
Nieminen wants to control from the top but Jaaskelainen keeps moving.
Nieminen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Nieminen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Nieminen passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Nieminen is working to tighten is grip on Jaaskelainen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jaaskelainen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nieminen is really squeezing tight and eventually Jaaskelainen passes out! Nieminen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
