The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynott throws a lazy right hand but Lumberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lynott thuds his right hand into Lumberg's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lumberg moves in looking to clinch but Lynott pushes him off.
Lumberg drops his hands momentarily and Lynott takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Bill Lumberg's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lumberg uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lynott.

and Lumberg makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lumberg catches Lynott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Lumberg throws a hook to the side of Lynott's head but Lynott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lumberg lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Lynott goes down! The ref sends Lumberg to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Lynott is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
It looks like Phil Lynott has been cut.
Lumberg throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lumberg tries to clinch up.
Lynott drops his guard momentarily, allowing Lumberg to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Lynott! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Lumberg takes it!
