Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Agni Kapila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Cullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapila comes to the cage accompanied by SGX - Composer. Casey Cullen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kapila dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Cullen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kapila.
Nice takedown defense from Cullen. No joy for Kapila on that attempt.
Horrible takedown by Kapila or perhaps it was just good defense by Cullen which made him look bad.
Cullen moves out of range of the strikes.

Kapila shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cullen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cullen tries to improve position but can't.
Cullen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kapila's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Cullen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kapila scores with a couple of nice shots.
Kapila has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kapila is nestled in close to Cullen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kapila accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cullen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kapila manages to get himself to full guard.

Kapila is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kapila throws a strike but Cullen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kapila is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cullen looking to improve position, pressing down on Kapila's thigh with his hand. Kapila seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Cullen paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Cullen's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Kapila picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
