The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penguin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vorenus defends it nicely.
Vorenus shoots in but Penguin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vorenus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Penguin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vorenus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Vorenus is trying to get an arm triangle but Penguin is defending well.

Vorenus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Penguin, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Penguin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Penguin is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vorenus is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Penguin is trying to escape and Vorenus transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Penguin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Vorenus! Very nice indeed!
