The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a low kick.
A left lands for Karlsson.
Karlsson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Karlsson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva staying out of range there.
Karlsson scores with a shot to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Silva.
A nice leg kick lands there from Silva.
Karlsson throws a sloppy body shot
and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Jimmy Karlsson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karlsson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Silva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Karlsson if he has to take too many more of those.

Karlsson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Karlsson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Karlsson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Karlsson. That did some damage!
Karlsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Karlsson somewhat.
Karlsson moves out of range of the leg kick from Silva.
Silva connects with a right that clearly hurt Karlsson. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Silva proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Karlsson collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Wanderlei Silva tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
