The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ultra chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ruzic can pounce on him.
Ultra lands a nice shot to the body.
Ultra takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ruzic shoots for a takedown but Ultra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for Ruzic with that takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ultra rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ruzic counters with a straight right hand.
Ruzic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ultra as he jumps to the side.

Ultra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruzic manages to avoid it.
Ultra throws a jab when Ruzic was well out of range.
Ultra connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ruzic. Ruzic circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ruzic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ultra's head.
Ruzic misses with a low kick as Ultra jumps back.
Ultra uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ruzic has time to react.

Ruzic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ultra manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ruzic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ultra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ruzic sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ultra's guard.
Ultra moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ruzic won't allow Ultra to sweep him here.

Ruzic has gone for a leg lock! Ultra slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ruzic's guard.
Ultra must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ruzic is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ultra throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ruzic's body to avoid the submission. Ruzic has instead reached around Ultra's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ruzic arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
