Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles comes to the cage accompanied by Muddy Waters- Hoochie Coochie Man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Tyson's choice of entrance music: Dark Tranquillity - Lethe . Jason Tyson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Charles drives through with a takedown into Tyson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Charles is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Charles postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Tyson looking for a sweep. Not yet Tyson, not yet.
Charles wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.
Charles works over Tyson with some ground and pound from guard.

Tyson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Charles passes into side control.
Charles is working Tyson over with some ground and pound from side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A lull in the action here as Charles stalls from top position.
Tyson is not content to let Charles control the position.

Tyson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Tyson is concentrating on defense, preventing Charles from advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Charles wants to pass the guard but Tyson is keeping the position.

Tyson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Charles stacks Tyson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Charles!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tyson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Charles throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tyson is staying active underneath Charles, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tyson wants to improve his position but Charles is controlling well.
Tyson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Charles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tyson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Charles lands a head shot.
Charles swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Tyson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Charles moves away.

Charles looks to throw the jab but Tyson is out of range.
Charles connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tyson momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Charles connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A lazy left from Tyson finds it's target.
Charles scores with a nice right hand.
Charles digs a good body shot into Tyson's ribs.
Charles lands a head shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charles throws a right and a left that both miss.
Charles missing with a left hand there. Tyson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Charles feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tysons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Charles looks to land a left hand but Tyson moved out of range nicely.

Charles throws a nice looking combination but Tyson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tyson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Charles thows a left - swing and a miss!
Charles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Charles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Charles takes a kick to the side of the head.
Charles slips under a jab.
Tyson connects with a right hand. Charles shakes it off.
Charles darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Charles throws a hook but Tyson avoids it easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Charles checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Charles throws a right hand that misses
and Tyson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Tyson slips a straight right by Charles.
Good standup being displayed there by Charles as he connects with a hook.


Tyson is rocked!
Charles looks to land a left hand but Tyson moved out of range nicely.
Tyson is still on wobbly legs! Can Charles finish him?
Tyson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Charles.
Tyson moves away from the strike by Charles.
Tyson seems to have recovered his senses.
Charles throws out a loose jab but Tyson uses good head movement to avoid it.

Charles closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Charles pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Charles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Charles scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tyson doesn't seem bothered though.
Charles steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tyson.

Charles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Charles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tyson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Charles wants to control from the top but Tyson keeps moving.

Tyson controls Charles momentarily but Charles frees himself.
Charles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyson is keeping the position for now.

Tyson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Charles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Charles dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Charles throws a lazy uppercut
and Tyson counters with a right hand to the body.
Charles throws a body punch but Tyson moves out of range.
Charles throws a shot from downtown. Tyson moves away and avoids it.
Tyson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Charles connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tyson scrambles back to his feet.
Charles darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Charles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tyson.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown but Charles shows good takedown defense.
Charles misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tyson.
Charles scores with a jab. Tyson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Charles drops Tyson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Charles follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Charles!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Ray Charles waved his t-shirt featuring CRAZY COW Co. 159's logo in front of the cameras.
