Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walt Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by T.I - Big Shit Poppin. Potter is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Emalkay - When I Look At You. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Walt Potter!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz with a lazy takedown attempt
and Potter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Some wild striking there from Potter.
A left lands for Potter.
Potter works over Cruz's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Nick Cruz has been cut.

Cruz moves into the clinch.
Potter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Cruz with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Cruz looking to throw knees to the head but Potter is blocking nicely.
Cruz trying to stall but Potter improves his position.
Cruz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Potter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Potter throws a combination. Cruz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Cruz looks for a takedown but Potter sprawls well.
Potter misses with a low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz misses with an attempted mid kick.
Potter throws a right and a left that Cruz avoids nicely.
Cruz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Potter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cruz eats them both and turns towards Potter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Potter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cruz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potter tries to avoid it but Cruz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potter to the ground. Potter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
Cruz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cruz tries to clinch
and Potter counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Potter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cruz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Potter jabs Cruz to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Potter closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cruz! Potter dives in looking to finish! Cruz is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
