Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas J Mcgarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Valdemes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdemes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcgarry.
Mcgarry tries for a takedown but Valdemes circles away easily

and Valdemes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Valdemes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Valdemes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mcgarry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Valdemes manages to get himself to full guard.

Mcgarry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcgarry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mcgarry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Valdemes looking for a guillotine here but Mcgarry defends easily.

Mcgarry wants to pass the guard but Valdemes is keeping the position.

Valdemes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcgarry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mcgarry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mcgarry drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Mcgarry seems to have locked his on tight now - Valdemes screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Mcgarry, as he picks up the win!
