The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darwin fails to land the takedown.

Blast cracks Darwin with an uppercut from hell and Darwin crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Blast's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Darwin is rocked!

It looks like MarCious Darwin has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Darwin has a closed guard, preventing Blast from standing up.
Darwin is still in real trouble! Can Blast finish him?
Darwin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Blast would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Darwin seems to have recovered his senses.
Darwin wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darwin trying to keep a closed guard but Blast is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Blast fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Darwin looks winded!

Blast looks for a takedown but Darwin sprawls well.
Jab, jab by Blast - just one landing.
and Blast counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Darwin! He's just covering up as Blast starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
