Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kaito Suzuki has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaito Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas avoids the body shot from Suzuki.

Suzuki lands a big right hand that sends Thomas crashing to the mat! Suzuki stays standing though and waves Thomas back to his feet!

It looks like Christopher Thomas has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Suzuki throws a jab when Thomas was well out of range.

Suzuki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thomas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Suzuki throws a hook to the side of Thomas's head but Thomas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fighters circling - Suzuki throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Thomas seems to have recovered his senses.
Suzuki misses the shot to the body.
Suzuki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thomas was well out of range. Poor timing from Suzuki.

Suzuki swings for the body but Thomas moves out of range.
Kaito Suzuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Suzuki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thomas sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Thomas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thomas.

Thomas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Thomas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Thomas forces his way into half guard.

Thomas is trying to work for a kimura but Suzuki is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Suzuki gets full guard.
Thomas trying to control but Suzuki is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suzuki wants to get back to his feet but Thomas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Christopher Thomas wasn't active enough on the ground.

Suzuki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Suzuki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Suzuki's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thomas under the eye.

Suzuki throws a looping overhand right but Thomas ducks down to avoid it.
Suzuki lands a right hook to the body.
Suzuki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Suzuki fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thomas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Thomas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suzuki.
Suzuki misses the shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice defenses there by Thomas.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Suzuki.
Suzuki fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thomas on the side of the head.
Suzuki swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Thomas counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Suzuki stops Thomas from passing to mount.

Thomas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Thomas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Thomas moves into full mount!

Suzuki is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Thomas locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Suzuki is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Christopher Thomas!
Christopher Thomas decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
