Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Averson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kurt Averson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Averson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Taylor but Taylor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Taylor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Averson sprawls well initially but Taylor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Averson is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.

Taylor is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Averson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Averson shrugs it off.
