Volkovniakoiv is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Russian National Anthem - Rock Version. Vladimir Volkovniakoiv acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vladimir Volkovniakoiv!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkovniakoiv takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A left lands for Tiburcio.
Tiburcio lands with a shot to the body.
Volkovniakoiv tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tiburcio counters with a straight right hand.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tiburcio darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Tiburcio leaves Volkovniakoiv with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Volkovniakoiv looks for a takedown but Tiburcio sprawls well.
Volkovniakoiv closes the distance and clinches up with Tiburcio, looking for a takedown. Volkovniakoiv pushes Tiburcio against the cage but Tiburcio circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Andres Tiburcio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Volkovniakoiv.
Tiburcio moves into the clinch.

Volkovniakoiv tries to score a body lock takedown but Tiburcio shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Volkovniakoiv pulls Tiburcio into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Volkovniakoiv is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Volkovniakoiv is looking to sinch up a triangle. Tiburcio throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Volkovniakoiv's body to avoid the submission. Volkovniakoiv has instead reached around Tiburcio's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Volkovniakoiv arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Vladimir Volkovniakoiv!
In his post fight interview, Vladimir Volkovniakoiv started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
