The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarzyna swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rooney counters with a left to the body.
Rooney scores with a jab to the head.
Jarzyna misses with a body shot.
Krzysztof Jarzyna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jarzyna misses with a straight left.
Jarzyna fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Jarzyna.

Jarzyna swings for the body but Rooney moves out of range.

Jarzyna looks to land a left hand but Rooney moved out of range nicely.
Jarzyna feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rooneys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jarzyna looks to throw the jab but Rooney is out of range.
Rooney swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jarzyna misses with a hook.
Jarzyna misses with a left hand
and Rooney counters with a straight right hand.
Jarzyna is rocked!
Jarzyna darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rooney uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jarzyna.
Jarzyna thuds a left hand into Rooney's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jarzyna lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rooney circles away quickly and effectively.
Rooney uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jarzyna.
Jarzyna throws a combination that misses
and Jarzyna takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rooney wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice defenses there by Jarzyna.
Jarzyna doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rooney counters with a nice uppercut.
Oh Jarzyna is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krzysztof Jarzyna. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jarzyna is breathing heavily.
Rooney lands a body shot.
Rooney leaves Jarzyna with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rooney connects with a superb combination that knocks Jarzyna out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Rooney before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Jarzyna!
