PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tread Frecu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyr Hietela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tread Frecu looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hietela dives in and grabs Frecu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frecu pushes down on Hietela's head and hops out.
Frecu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hietela jabs Frecu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hietela shoots in but Frecu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck for Frecu with that takedown attempt.
Frecu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hietela pinned against the cage. Hietela gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hietela looks for a takedown but Frecu sprawls well.

Hietela has closed the distance and engaged Frecu in a clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyr Hietela.
Hietela shoots in but Frecu avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hietela has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frecu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Frecu is fighting to break Hietela's control of his arms but Hietela is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tyr Hietela wasn't active enough on the ground.

Frecu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hietela.
Frecu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hietela sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Frecu somewhat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Frecu is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hietela.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyr Hietela hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hietela throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frecu's waist but Frecu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hietela off to one side.

Hietela's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Well Hietela has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
