Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Colin Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Hardy!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy tries to clinch but Booth moves away
and Booth counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Booth gets tackled into the cage by Hardy. Hardy maintains the clinch.
Booth keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hardy's efforts to push away.

Booth turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Booth manages to end up in side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Booth is trying to get an arm triangle but Hardy is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardy bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Hardy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Booth paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Booth fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hardy on the side of the head.

and Booth decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hardy's guard.

Hardy is pushing Booth's head away, looking to escape. Booth manages to hold on to the position though.

Booth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Booth counters with a thumping low kick.
Hardy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Booth can pounce on him.

Hardy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Booth counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Booth avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hardy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Booth swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Booth throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hardy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hardy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Booth throws a leg kick which misses Hardy's front leg but catches the back leg as Hardy tries to avoid it.

Booth fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardy sprawls well initially but Booth persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Booth feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hardy's calf.
