Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daisu Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Not Enough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Malicious Intent Fight Gear


Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daisu Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Not Enough!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enough tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miyagi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miyagi wants to slow Enough down by chopping away at his legs.
Miyagi misses with a low kick.
Miyagi moves away from the strike by Enough.
Enough takes one to the side of the head.
Miyagi doesn't manage to clinch there - Enough circles away.
Enough tries to clinch up
and Enough takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Enough throws a hook to the side of Miyagi's head but Miyagi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Miyagi clinches up against the cage.
Miyagi scores a nice knee to the body.
Enough tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Miyagi pushes Enough back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Enough tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miyagi smiles and moves away.
Miyagi wants to clinch.
Enough takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Enough tries to keep at a distance but Miyagi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Enough throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Miyagis head.
Miyagi landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Miyagi is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Enough is keeping busy.
Miyagi lands a hook to the side of the head.
Miyagi can't break the clinch.

Enough on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Miyagi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Enough is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Miyagi is keeping busy.
Enough throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Miyagi blocks it with crossed arms.
Miyagi lands a nice knee to the body.
Miyagi misses with a knee to the head.
Miyagi throws a knee to the head but misses.

Miyagi can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Enough fails with the takedown
and Miyagi counters with an inside leg kick.

Enough misses with an elbow over the top.
Miyagi tries to break the clinch but Enough is controlling the position.
Enough using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Miyagi has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Miyagi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Enough throws a jab but it's blocked by Miyagi.
Enough misses with an uppercut. Miyagi saw that one coming.
Miyagi doesn't manage to clinch there - Enough circles away.
Enough blocks the body kick.
Miyagi lands with a cross.
Enough checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Enough falls off balance throwing a combination
and Miyagi counters with a body kick that stops Enough in his tracks momentarily.
Miyagi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Enough tries to score with a low kick but Miyagi moves his leg out of the way.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Enough checks a leg kick.
Enough tries to clinch
and Miyagi counters with a two punch combo.
Miyagi moves out of range as Enough strikes.
Miyagi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miyagi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daisu Miyagi dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Enough swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Miyagi counters with a nice kick to the body.
Miyagi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miyagi scoring well with a low kick there.

A punch combination from Miyagi misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miyagi.
Enough lands a left and a right that sends Miyagi crashing to the canvas! Enough dives into mount looking to finish!


Miyagi is rocked!


It looks like Daisu Miyagi has been cut.
Miyagi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Miyagi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Enough throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Miyagi seems to have got his legs back now.
Enough can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miyagi is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Enough goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Miyagi turns into him and now he's in Enough's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Enough throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Miyagi postures up.
Miyagi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Enough is proving hard to escape from.
Miyagi wants to control from the top but Enough keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Enough throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Enough is looking for a triangle but Miyagi pushes his legs off easily.

Enough escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miyagi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Enough is breathing heavily.
Enough is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Miyagi controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Enough is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Miyagi is stalling in the full guard.

Miyagi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Miyagi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Miyagi closes the distance and clinches.

Enough has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Miyagi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Miyagi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Enough blocks it with crossed arms.
Enough is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Miyagi is keeping busy.

Enough tries to pull guard but Miyagi holds him up against the cage and eventually Enough drops back down to his feet.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Miyagi lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Enough keeps control of Miyagi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Enough blocks an elbow strike from Miyagi.
Miyagi is trying to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daisu Miyagi will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Daisu Miyagi's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Enough looks for a takedown but Miyagi sprawls well.
Miyagi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Enough.
Enough tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Miyagi clobbers Enough with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Daisu Miyagi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miyagi lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miyagi tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Enough throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

A nice leg kick lands there from Miyagi.
Miyagi thows a body shot but no joy.
Enough takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Enough wants to clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Miyagi clinches up with Enough and pushes him back against the cage.
Enough lands an elbow just above Miyagi 's eye.
Miyagi tries to break the clinch but Enough is controlling the position.

Enough changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Miyagi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Daisu Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Not Enough.
Miyagi tries to clinch but Enough is having none of it.
Miyagi throws a head kick but Enough moves out of range.

and Enough counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Enough works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Miyagi is pressing down on Enough's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Miyagi controlling Enough's posture.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Enough stopping the sweep attempt from Miyagi.
Not Enough has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Enough throwing strikes from guard but Miyagi blocks nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Enough postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miyagi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Enough, into his guard.
Miyagi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Enough working a defensive guard here.

Miyagi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daisu Miyagi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miyagi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
