Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Albert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Wahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Albert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Wahl !
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albert tries for a takedown but Wahl circles away easily
and Wahl counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Albert thinking.
Albert rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wahl moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wahl dodges the punch combination from Albert.
Albert fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Albert doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wahl counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Albert. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wahl closes the distance and pushes Albert back into the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Albert wants to break the clinch but can't.
Albert goes for a takedown attempt but Wahl pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Wahl is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Albert is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Wahl decides to return to a standing position.
Wahl throws a head kick that misses.

Wahl shoots in and bounces Albert off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wahl slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that Wahl has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Albert is trying to keep Wahl in close.
Albert has momentary wrist control but Wahl slips an elbow through the middle.
Wahl is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wahl sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Albert's guard.
Wahl slows the pace down in half guard.

Wahl decides to stand up.

Albert fails with an attempt to clinch.
Albert slips a jab and a cross from Wahl .
Albert tries a head kick but it misses.

Wahl gets a double leg takedown into Albert's guard.
Wahl is pushing down on Albert's leg trying to pass to half guard. Albert is fighting to maintain full guard but Wahl has managed to sneak the leg through.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ground and pound from Wahl .
Albert is looking for a sweep. Wahl is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Albert is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Albert is breathing heavily.
Wahl trying to control the pace.

George Wahl dominated that round.

Wahl shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Albert regains half guard.
Wahl lands strikes from half guard.

Wahl decides to stand and escape the position.

and Wahl counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wahl has clasped his hands together around Albert's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wahl just content to control the position.
Albert is not content to let Wahl control the position.

Albert is trying to buck Wahl off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wahl is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Wahl stands up and beckons Albert to his feet.
Albert will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Albert gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Wahl gets to his feet - Albert follows without any prompting.

Albert tries to pull guard but Wahl forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Albert has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wahl avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Albert wants to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Wahl showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Wahl counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wahl chips away with some ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wahl 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Wahl seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by George Wahl .

Albert tries to keep at a distance but Wahl has taken the fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wahl gets control of Albert's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wahl will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Wahl is looking to sinch up a triangle. Albert throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Wahl 's body to avoid the submission. Wahl has instead reached around Albert's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Wahl arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). George Wahl !
